The first chapter meeting was spent reading and interpreting literary works, and then refreshments were served. Originally, initiation was held in the Attic of President Mauck's home-now the Alpha Tau Omega house. In 1917, it was decided that the Kappa Chapter would be moved into the home of the Pullens, which officially became the home of Kappa Chapter around 1940.
Kappa Chapter currently has 65 members and we are looking forward to a spectacular rush in January. The Kappas will also be having several date parties and we will be participating in many philanthropic events. After having a wonderful Fall semester and initiating seven wonderful girls, Kappa Chapter hopes that 1998 will be as good to it as 1997 has been.
